Advantages
TZM is stronger than pure Molybdenum, and has a greater recrystallization temperature and also an enhanced creep resistance. TZM is ideal for use in high-temperature applications requiring demanding mechanical loads. An example would be forging tools or as rotating anodes in X-ray tubes. Ideal temperatures of use are between 700 and 1,400°C.
